Dilara Buse Durdabak, Ph.D. student of the Department of Biophysics, supervised by our faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilge Güvenç Tuna and Prof. Dr. Soner Doğan, won a second best poster award at the 4th International 33rd National Biophysics Congress with a presentation on “Beta-Thalassemia Detection Using Probe-Gated Silica Nanoparticles”.

Within the scope of the Tubitak 1004 program, our aim in this project is to develop a rapid detection test kit for Beta Thalassemia disease in 15 minutes using a nanoparticular system.
